This guide explains how to assign a driver to a package that is scheduled for delivery across multiple locations using the web portal. This ensures that the appropriate driver is notified and responsible for the package's transit.
Steps to Assign a Driver:- Log in to the web portal.
- Navigate to the Items section.
- Select the items with a status of ‘Delivery Scheduled’ that you wish to assign a driver to.
- You can either:
- Select the checkbox corresponding to one or multiple items directly from the Item list.
- Click on the item image to expand the item details.
- On the item's row or within its details page, locate and click the 'Assign Driver' button.
- A dropdown menu will appear, displaying a list of available drivers.
- Select the desired driver from this list.
- After selecting the driver, click the 'Assign Driver' button.
Upon successful assignment, a "Driver tag" (e.g., the driver's name or ID) will appear on the package's details, visually confirming the assignment. Additionally, a push-notification will be sent to the assigned driver's device, informing them of the new delivery task.
