How to Assign a Messenger for Same-Location Delivery (Mobile App)

This guide explains how to assign a messenger to one or more packages that are currently 'Holding' for internal delivery within the same location, directly from the Receive app

Assign a Messenger from the Items view:

  • Open and log in to the Receive app.
  • Navigate to the Inbound section in the 'Items' Tab to view packages that have arrived and are awaiting internal distribution.
  • You have two options to select items:
    • Option A: Assigning Multiple Items: Long-press on any item in the list view. This will activate a selection mode, allowing you to tap and select multiple inbound items.
    • Option B: Assigning a Single Item: Tap on an individual item to go to its detailed information screen.
  • Once items are selected (Option A) or you are on a single item's details screen (Option B), look for and tap the '...' (3 dots) icon.
  • From the menu that appears, tap 'Assign Messenger'. A dropdown menu or list of available messengers will appear.
  • Select the desired messenger from this list, then tap 'Done'.

Upon successful assignment, a "Messenger tag" (e.g., the messenger's name or ID) will appear on the package details within the mobile app, confirming the assignment. Additionally, a notification will typically be sent to the assigned messenger, informing them of the new delivery task.
