How to Assign a Messenger for Same-Location Delivery (Web)

This guide explains how to assign a messenger to a package that is awaiting internal delivery within the same location using the web portal. This ensures that the appropriate messenger is tasked with completing the final leg of the delivery.

Steps to Assign a Messenger:

 

  • Log in to the web portal.
  • Navigate to the 'Items' section. Identify the items in a Holding state with an internal label that are ready to be assigned a messenger.
  • You can either:
    • Select the row corresponding to the item directly from the list (if an "Assign Messenger" button is visible on the row).
    • Click on the item's image to navigate to its detailed information page.
  • On the item's row or within its details page, locate and click the 'Assign Messenger' button.
  • A dropdown menu or pop-up window will appear, displaying a list of available messengers.
  • Select the desired messenger from this list who is responsible for internal deliveries.
  • After selecting the messenger, click the 'Assign Messenger' button.

Upon successful assignment, a "Messenger tag" (e.g., the messenger's name or ID) will appear on the package's details, visually confirming the assignment. Additionally, a notification will typically be sent to the assigned messenger, informing them of the new delivery task.
